While I always encourage collectors to connect with and purchase an original piece from my existing body of work, I understand that sometimes a more personal subject is desired. I accept a limited number of commissions, provided a strong and clear reference is available.
I offer commissioned artworks in oil, acrylic, and sketching, and can create a range of subjects including landscapes, beloved pets (such as dogs, cats and birds), homes, portraits of people, and meaningful still life arrangements featuring personal objects.
My approach remains true to my artistic style—balancing realism and impressionism with careful attention to light, colour, and atmosphere. Each commissioned piece is treated as an individual artwork, not a reproduction, ensuring it carries the same quality, depth, and painterly expression as my original works.
Once a commission has been agreed upon, a simple contract will be provided outlining the scope of the work, timelines, and expectations. Payment is made in three instalments: one at the commencement of the project, one at the midpoint, and the final payment upon completion.

Sabine Kehoe is an award-winning, Toowoomba-based artist recognised for her versatility and refined technical skill in both oil and acrylic painting. Largely self-taught, she has further developed her practice through studies at the Florence Academy of Art and by attending numerous workshops and courses at the McGregor Summer and Winter School, along with other art classes.
Working across realism and impressionism, Sabine brings a keen observational eye to her subjects, capturing light, colour, and atmosphere with sensitivity and depth. A self-confessed perfectionist, she balances precision with expressive freedom, allowing her work to move seamlessly between detailed realism and more open, impressionistic styles.
Her artistic practice is grounded in drawing—daily sketching is an essential part of her creative routine, strengthening her observation and continually informing her paintings. Sabine also embraces experimentation, exploring layered techniques, working over prepared surfaces, and incorporating gold sizing inspired by Gustav Klimt.
Committed to fostering a local art community, Sabine established a plein air painting group in Toowoomba and has initiated a yearly outdoor painting competition planned for November. As a newly launched event, it is an evolving venture that reflects her enthusiasm for bringing artists together and encouraging creative growth in the region. In addition, she has begun offering tuition in 2026, introducing both beginner and intermediate tuition to share her skills and support others on their artistic journey.
