Jade-Sweeney Art workshops Toowoomba

About your Teacher

Jade Sweeney

Jade is a multidisciplinary artist with a background in graphic design and digital art, now joyfully tangled in a growing love affair with traditional mediums like acrylic, oil, pencil, pastel and graphite. Her work is rooted in storytelling, emotion and that magical moment when someone sees themselves in a piece and thinks, “Yes, that’s me.”

With a mind always buzzing with possibilities, Jade is all about the process – the messy, curious, and unexpectedly beautiful things that emerge through making. She values experimentation over perfection, presence over polish, and believes that art should feel like following a trail of breadcrumbs left by your imagination.

Fuelled by a deep desire to help others unlock their creative spark, Jade creates to connect. Whether it’s through hand lettering, painting or guiding someone else’s “I can’t do this” into a bold “actually, maybe I can”, her work centres on storytelling and process – for herself and for those around her.
