I am a visual artist, who lives in Nobby, on the Darling Downs. I love painting in colour using acrylic paints, I also love the expressive mark making of charcoal and ink pens.  My artistic practice started in school when I was suppose to be listening to the teacher and doing the 3 ‘R’s but seriously this wonderful endeavour became more valued to me when I plunged into the McGregor Art Summer school in 2014 toting my 40 year old school acrylic paints!

Artist Style

I wouldn’t  describe myself as an expressive artist, but my work is influenced by expressionism. I would describe my artistic style to be reckless!!  Though seriously I have learned that you do need a little knowledge in  history, what to use, how to use it and when to use it. though I, like a lot of artists, like to break the rules. I am very influenced by people, places and happenings. Sounds familiar, well its true.

Practice

I explore and study  form, I get playful with gesture and discover movement through an intuitive process.
