I am a soft pastel artist based in the Lockyer Valley and my inspiration to paint comes from my ever changing garden.  I have an obsession for thrifting once beloved vases and jugs for my summer blooms and I delight in painting arrangements from within my home’s interior.

As a sentimentalist, I try to create an atmosphere of nostalgia in my work.  From a treasured teacup to a bowl of pomegranates on my sideboard, I hope to evoke a familiar feeling or memory within my viewers.

I rediscovered the wonder of soft pastels in 2023,  some 20 years after a fleeting introduction to the medium.  Soft pastels have a unique, luminous quality that I find completely alluring. This immersive process brings me joy and I am enjoying the journey of learning, experimenting and watching my style evolve.
