My work is deeply influenced by the restorative power of nature.

During a particularly stressful time in my life, I visited a friend who lived several hours away. One day we went on a bush walk to see a waterfall. As we made our way along the track—sometimes climbing, sometimes scrambling—I could feel the tension slowly leaving my body.

The sound of water tumbling over rocks, the cool air, the textures of moss and stone—everything about that place restored a sense of peace I hadn’t realised I had lost.

In that moment I understood something very clearly. I wanted my paintings to carry that same feeling.

Since then, my watercolours have been inspired by the movement of water, the strength of mountains, the quiet patterns of rock, earth and foliage.

Much of my work now grows from this accumulated understanding rather than direct reference.

Through my paintings I hope to share something simple yet profound: a moment of quiet reflection and the refreshing beauty found within God’s creation.
