Sarah Walker is an emerging artist based in Toowoomba, known for her vibrant and playful approach to still life art. Her work explores many facets of life, blending symbolism and quirkiness with bold, dynamic colour choices.

Drawing inspiration from iconic artists such as Wassily Kandinsky, Salvador Dalí, and Jeffrey Smart, Walker’s paintings offer metaphorical depth, exploration of thought, and a touch of whimsy.

Her use of colour is central to her practice, often serving as an emotional language that speaks to the joys and challenges of life. Through her distinctive lens, Walker captures the dualities of the human experience – both the lamentations and the celebrations – but from an overarching hopeful perspective.

Walker’s art is an invitation to enjoy colour, life, and the many stories we carry, bringing moments of delight and reflection to those who engage with her work.

Sarah Walker has exhibited at Downlands At Exhibition, Grammar At Show, and Facets of Fairholme. Her first solo exhibition “From Root to Fruit” was at the Rosalie Art Gallery, 2024.
