Open to commissioned works. Call me to discuss.
I would describe myself as a photographer who moves through the world with a quiet, attentive gaze. Now based in Toowoomba, Queensland, far from my Tasmanian beginnings, I carry with me decades of travel, treasured memories, and lived experiences, all of which have shaped the way I see the world, light, shadow, and the spaces in between.
My work drifts between contrasts:
- the grit of black‑and‑white streets,
- the majesty of colour‑soaked landscapes,
- the stillness of minimalist urban forms,
- and the mystery of abstract and fine art.
My passion is to photograph not just what is there, but what is felt. In the chaos of a city corner or the silence of an open horizon, I look for rhythm, tension and unexpected beauty. Photography to me is my refuge, a pulse, a way of disappearing into something larger than himself, my meditation. With each frame I want to invite the viewer to pause, to look deeper, and to experience the poetry hidden in the everyday.
I was first introduced to photography at high school and was immediately hooked on the process of making pictures, which quickly developed into a deep passion. I am self taught, having developed my craft through experimentation, daily observation and continuous practice. My work reflects a personal perspective and my ongoing journey of growth as a photographer.
Street
Although I have had a long time interest in capturing people going about their daily lives, it has only been the last five years that I have really focused on developing my storytelling skills.
Landscapes
The Earth’s natural beauty has alway captured my eye and my desire to replicate this on paper will always continue.
Urban
Cities, towns and urban landscapes are full of the quirky, the subtle, the bold and evidence of the man made.
Abstracts
It’s about capturing the mystery within the abstract form that questions the viewers knowledge and perspective.
Fine Art
Fine Art Photography is a genre I wish to do more of in the future, so watch this space.
